The health of our waterways is closely interconnected with the health of our wildlife and our communities. Grassroots Ecology works with the public to create healthier Silicon Valley watersheds that conserve and store water and support a diversity of life. We focus on seven major creeks within the southern San Francisco Bay watershed: Permanente, Stevens, Redwood, San Francisquito, Adobe, Barron, and Matadero. Whether we are doing creek plantings, installing rain barrels, transforming lawns into native gardens, or monitoring aquatic insects, we are building a more sustainable watershed for Silicon Valley.
