2021 Coastal Cleanup Day at San Francisquito Creek

Grassroots Ecology and the City of Menlo Park are partnering to host volunteers for Coastal Cleanup Day at San Francisquito Creek. Join us!

This annual event brings communities together throughout the state to clean California's beaches, lakes, and watersheds. Join us as we remove trash and recyclables from our local watershed to celebrate and enhance our beautiful waterways.

Waivers/Registration: All participants must register & approve the online waiver through this Eventbrite page. Youth under 18 must have their legal guardian approve the waiver on their behalf. Volunteers under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

Parking: Street parking is plentiful.

Where: We will meet at 1 Alma Street, Menlo Park, at the park near the intersection of East Creek Drive and Alma Street.

Prepare for Working Outdoors:
Water bottle
Long pants, long sleeves
Sturdy close-toed shoes that can get dirty
Hat/sunscreen or rain gear/boots
Exposure to sun, poison oak, ticks; sharp objects and hazardous materials are possible

We will provide gloves, tools, and light refreshments. Feel free to bring your own equipment:

Grassroots Ecology encourages people from all identities and backgrounds to participate in our programs. Many of our programs are outdoors and involve moving and working in a variety of landscapes. If you have accessibility concerns (i.e., allergies, limited mobility, learning differences), our projects are flexible and we are happy to work with you.
