BioBlitz at Baylands Park in Sunnyvale

  • Baylands Park - Eucalyptus Hollow 999 East Caribbean Drive Sunnyvale, CA, 94089 United States (map)

Join us for a community BioBlitz at Sunnyvale Baylands Park, hosted by the Sunnyvale Public Library! A BioBlitz is a collaborative nature observation event where participants of all ages help document the living world right in our own backyard.

We’ll explore the trails and habitats of Sunnyvale Baylands Park, logging as many species of plants, birds, insects, fungi, and other wildlife as we can find. All observations are recorded using iNaturalist, a free app that connects your sightings to a global network of scientists and naturalists. Don’t have the app? No problem — we’ll help you get set up on the day!

Regardless of your experience, there’s something to discover for everyone! Make sure to wear appropriate clothing, bring water, and come curious!

iNaturalist is available as a free download on iOS and Android. Creating an account before the event is encouraged but not required.

This program will take place at Sunnyvale Baylands Park. We will meet at the park's Eucalyptus Hollow. Registration is not required but recommended.
