Naturalist Walk: Nuts and Berries at Stulsaft Park

  • Stulsaft Park Recreation Way Redwood City, CA 94061 United States (map)

November is the perfect time to find ripening nuts and berries on our native shrubs and trees. While we may find them pretty (and sometimes tasty!), they’re also critical food that birds and other wildlife rely on to survive the winter. On this guided walk, you will practice your observational skills and senses to learn about and explore the fall abundance that Stulsaft Park has to offer.

Attendees should expect to walk 2 miles at a slow to moderate pace on hilly, dirt and gravel paths and at times with steep or uneven terrain. Please note: Though Stulsaft Park is dog-friendly, please keep your pups at home for this walk! Attendees may encounter unleashed dogs, however; the park has certain trails where they are allowed.

**Optional planting power hour: 12pm-1pm** Stick around after the walk to install berry-producing native plants in our restoration area! Please indicate your interest on the registration form.

Waivers/Registration:
All attendees must be registered individually and have approved the online waiver through this Eventbrite page. Youth under 18 must have their legal guardian approve the waiver on their behalf. Attendees age 12 and under require an accompanying adult.
